About Vermont Radon
Vermont Radon is an independent, plain-language guide for Vermont homeowners, buyers, sellers and landlords.
How we work
- Official sources first. Every fact links to its source, usually the Vermont Department of Health or the U.S. EPA. Each page lists its sources at the bottom with the date we checked them.
- Official guidance only. We don't give medical advice. For health questions, talk with a health care provider.
- No made-up numbers. If a source doesn't say it, we don't either.
Not a government site
We aren't affiliated with the Vermont Department of Health, the EPA or any certification body. For official help, contact the Vermont Radon Program at 800-439-8550 or radon@vermont.gov.[1]
How the site is funded
We earn money through affiliate links to digital radon monitors and plan to add clearly labeled featured listings for contractors later. Paid placements won't change what the official guidance says. The state's own test kits will always be listed first.
